READER COMMENT: ON Thursday, February 27 my husband and I were looking for a park in the lower level at Sunshine Plaza.
We drove around three times then saw a young woman pulling into a seniors park.
As she went to the back of her car I pulled over and said "you are not in a baby park".
Her answer was "I have been driving around for three hours. I have twins babies. Can you walk?"
My answer was "yes, but not my husband".
"Well go find a disability park," she said, pointing to them. Looking at her, she sure could walk but maybe not the twins.
Why do we have special parks for prams? Most who use them don't have children, just the pram in the back or a baby seat.
What is wrong with the mothers of today? A good walk after giving birth is good for them and a lot go to the gym for three hours a week.
I drove off as she stood her ground.
We were lucky finding a car pulling out of a disability park and noticed they had no disability sticker.
My husband is a veteran in a wheelchair and we are both well over 70.
Shame on you lazy young mother.
I was a young mother once with four young children and I respected the older person.
