Year long sentence for Greenhouse robbery

AN ACCUSED gang member, who stood over a man at a Coffs Harbour hotel and demanded he withdraw money from an ATM, has received a 12 month jail sentence.

James Mark Fletcher was found guilty of robbery last month over an incident at the Greenhouse Tavern in 2012.

Acting Judge Garling, who presided over the trial in the Coffs Harbour District Court, handed down his sentence in Sydney on Monday.

A charge of demand property with menace was withdrawn.

While his 12-month sentence for robbery was backdated to April, 2012, Fletcher remains behind bars over more serious charges linked to the police operation - Strike Force Oriental.

He and seven other accused Lone Wolf bikie associates are awaiting trial over a series of violent crimes allegedly committed in the Coffs Harbour region between 2011-12.

All face charges relating to assisting criminal activity and drug supply but Fletcher is one of four remanded in custody over a father's day home invasion which left a  Park Beach man with critical head injuries.

A joint trial is expected to begin mid-next year.
