Woods’ graffiti plan backed
Byron United president Ed Ahern has backed the initiative by Cr Dianne Woods to eradicate graffiti in the Byron Shire.
“We wholeheartedly support this practical idea put forward by Cr Woods and in fact Byron United has been working actively with our Beautiful Byron Campaign and art projects to remove what is a blight on our community,” he said.
“Paul Waters from the Balcony and I ensure that our businesses on the major corner of Lawson Street remain graffiti-free. As soon as we see it, we are out removing it.
“Byron United has set our agenda for the forthcoming year and one of our priorities is restoring pride in our town and this means improvements in our parks and gardens, a greening of town, and litter and graffiti removal. I urge all business owners and community members to make a contribution.”
