Woman's ex arrested after poisoning her coffee

A DOMESTIC violence victim drank several cups of poisoned coffee before she realised it had been spiked with rat sack, police in Sydney have alleged.

The 32-year-old was taken to Campbelltown Hospital earlier after discovered pellets in her coffee.

Her ex-partner was arrested on Tuesday and charged with using poison to endanger life and administer poison with intent to injure.

He was granted conditional bail and will front court on August 29.
