Winning photos feature in calendar

The 2011 Simple Pleasures Calendar is now on sale at the Visitor Centre in Brunswick Heads, featuring an impressive selection of photographs from this year's Simple Pleasures photo competition.

Valerie Hardy, who co-ordinates the calendar and assists with selection of the photos for the calendar each year, said the 2011 edition was a ‘stand out'.

“The quality of work entered into the photo competition this year was so high that we have what I think is our best calendar to date,” she said.

The calendar features the winning photographs from each category in the competition, plus other photographs selected by the Simple Pleasures design committee.

Ms Hardy said the calendar would not be possible without the hard work of local photographers, the Brunswick Heads Chamber of Commerce, art direction by Alan Morden, graphic design by Bob West and printing by Accent Press.

“The calendars are a great, handy size and what a terrific idea for Christmas presents – we have lots of people coming in to the visitor centre because they like to buy their presents locally and then they send them off to extended family and friends who love to holiday here,” she said.

The calendar costs $8 and is available at the Visitor Centre in Park Street, Brunswick Heads.
