Will The Wombats be playing Splendour in the Grass?

DID UK indie rock band The Wombats just let slip that they'll be playing at Splendour in the Grass?

This morning some of the band members were talking to Triple J about their new album Glitterbug when they let a secret spill.

When asked about The Wombats' plans to come back Down Under to play more shows, drummer Dan Haggis told the announcers Matt and Alex that "we're coming back in July."

However they quickly realised they said too much, and multi-instrumentalist Tord Øverland Knudsen jumped in by saying "that was a secret, we weren't supposed to say that."

It's interesting because July is when Splendour In The Grass is held at North Byron Parklands, and the band seem to have a Splendour-sized hole in their touring schedule.

The Wombats have played the festival in 2008 as well as Falls Festival in 2013.
