THE self-imposed deadline for decency has expired but Wicked Campers does not appear to have cleaned up its act.
The company's founder John Webb relented to public pressure from the Daily and other media outlets last July when he committed to spend six months changing insensitive slogans.
But the blogger who started an online petition that gathered more than 120,000 signatures claims the company's vans were still offending after the January 16 deadline expired.
"It appears, however, that their 'concern' for what a great deal of people perceived as crossing-the-line, was a mere flash in the pan to divert any more attention towards the business," Paula Orbea wrote in a blog post.
She started the petition after her 11-year-old daughter saw the slogan that read: "In every princess, there's a little s - t who wants to try it just once."
Blackall Range resident Garry said campers with offensive slogans were still seen regularly on the Coast.
"The criticism that comes up when you complain is that you're a prude, but it's not being prudish," he said.
"This stuff is degrading towards women and obscene and it's about protecting children."
Mr Webb was emailed about the story but did not respond.
Wicked was mentioned in a 2013 Parliamentary Inquiry that recommended heavy fines for companies that repeatedly ignore the Advertising Standards Bureau's rulings.
The company had ignored seven rulings in July last year.
"You would expect the man to follow through on his word," Garry said.
"He figured the publicity would die down and go away and he's just continued on his merry way."
