TITANS recruit Daniel Vidot has revealed the real reason for his departure from the Broncos.
Rather than a rumoured rift with coach Wayne Bennett, Vidot claimed he was owed third-party money by the Broncos.
Vidot, who will make his Titans debut on Saturday night against the Cowboys, loved the Broncos as a kid and left the club with a heavy heart over a financial dispute.
"A lot of people think me and Wayne didn't get on but that wasn't true, I got on with him just fine," Vidot said.
"It was the money issue that was the problem. I was owed some money for the Broncos and it wasn't paid, so that upset me. It wasn't Wayne's fault.
"That was the main reason that drove me to find another club. I got a couple of offers from rival NRL teams but the England deal came up (to join Salford) and I was looking for the opportunity to travel and see the world.
"There was a third-party deal that they were unable to finish with me. It was promised but it wasn't delivered. That's what drove me away. With me needing money I had no choice but to find a deal to support my family.
"I have no hard feelings against Wayne at all. He is a great coach.
"I don't want to say how much I was owed because the Broncos were the team I loved as a club, but my loyalties are with the Titans now."
