Which weed is which? Find out at Byron workshop
BYRON Shire Council and Brunswick Valley Landcare will host a free workshop on Friday October 16 to help locals learn about weeds.
Many people have plants in their gardens that have beautiful flowers and fruits.
What they often don't know is that some of these are environmental weeds and are a threat to our native animals' habitat.
Come along to Council's weed workshop and learn to identify the weeds and what you can do to control them.
Council's Waste Education Officer, Lucy Wilson will also be on hand to answer questions about the new organics bins.
Workshop: Friday October 16 at Byron Shire Council's Conference Room from 9am to 12 midday.
Places are limited so bookings are essential. Please contact Alison Ratcliffe 02 6626 7028 alison.ratcliffe@byron.nsw.gov.au.
