WITH the dust settling from last month's Labor leadership change, speculation about when Prime Minister Rudd will call the Federal Election is mounting.
Commentators generally agree the election is likely to be held on one of four possible dates: August 24, August 31, October 19 or October 26.
Other dates between now and November 30, the last possible date on which an election could be held, have been ruled out due to clashes with sporting events, religious holy days, school holidays and public holiday long-weekends.
If the election was to be held on either August date, it would not comply with the requirements for the referendum on constitutional recognition of local government.
We know Aussies love to take a punt, so we have to ask:
When do you think the Federal Election will be held?
