Wet weather delays on highway

THERE are significant delays on the Pacific Highway as the crowds from the long weekend holiday head home amidst heavy rain fall.

Traffic is heavy right along the highway but particularly at Buladelah.

There is also delays at Corindi Beach, near Coffs Harbour, due to water over the road near Blackadder Road.

Traffic is closed to one lane and queues are 4km in length in both directions with delays at about 30 minutes.

There is also water over the road north of Corindi Beach at Half Way Creek, however all lanes remain open.

According to the Transport Management Centre, motorists should expect delays and allow additional travel time.
