EVERYONE in the Byron Shire surfing community is super stoked for Mark 'Mono' Stewart winning his second world title at La Jolla in California on Monday.

Mono and Dave Munk had an epic week over in the US getting some great fun waves at an awesome event.

Plenty of build-up for the Adaptive Surfing Titles and with so many more surfers getting involved its going to get massive over the next few years.

Here in the shire we have had an awesome week of small waves with crystal-clear water that is warming up again for a long, hot summer.

We had great waves in China where the Brazilian Phil Rajzman won the 2016 Jeep World Longboard Championship presented by Wanning.

Rajzman beat Steven Sawyer in the final, where we saw 3-5 foot waves at the left hand point break of Riyue Bay.

Rajzman surfed great hanging his toes over the nose and used flowing power turns to post a total of 17.34 out 20.

Jack Entwistle from Byron Bay just got pipped in Round 2 and fellow Ozzy Harley Ingleby got taken out in the Quarters.

The Pipeline Invitational also started on Tuesday this week in Hawaii with some great waves there for the event, let's hope the surf pumps there for the main event too.

Happy Days and catch you in the waves.
