DASH cam footage of a near accident on the Pacific Highway has been posted on Facebook.

Dash Cam Owners Australia shared the footage captured on a review dash cam of a turning car being overtaken by another car using the same turning lane.

Prior to the near incident, the vision shows a white four-wheel-drive with surf boards on its roof racks driving erratically and at times tailgating the car with the dash cam.

When the vehicle with the dash cam merges right into the turning lane to turn off the Pacfic Highway onto Parker Road, the four-wheel-drive overtakes the car using the same turning lane.

In the footage you can see the car with the dash cam jerk to avoid a collision.

Further into the video, vision from a dash cam mounted at the front of the vehicle shows the four-wheel-drive swerving across an unbroken white line to avoid being hit by the turning car.
