Watch: dash cam captures car being flipped onto its roof

TERRIFYING vision has emerged of a car being flipped onto its roof after swiping another car that suddenly switched lanes at an intersection.

The footage was captured by another motorist's dash cam who was waiting to turn right at the traffic lights.

"Oh Lordy, Lordy, Lordy," a voice near the camera can be heard saying, "that's not good."

Dash Cam Owners Australia uploaded the 19-second clip, that at time of publication has been viewed more than 100,000 times, to its Facebook page.

The video's description said the incident occurred at Redlynch, Cairns on Tuesday.

"At least there was an ambulance waiting at the t junction," the description read.
