
Wanted armourer arrested by NSW police
NEW South Wales Police have arrested a police weapons controller over a large cache of weapons found at his home.
Senior civilian employee Alan James Cumberland contacted police this morning and was arrested at Berkeley Vale on the central coast about a 10:15am (AEDT).
He has been take to Wyong Police Station.
Yesterday a state-wide manhunt was launched for Mr Cumberland who works at police headquarters in Sydney securing and maintaining police guns, including high-powered weapons.
He was was last seen there on Thursday when the Firearms and Organised Crime Squad told him they were executing a search warrant at his home.
