VIDEO: Lucky to be alive - huge boulder almost crushes car

DRAMATIC video footage has emerged showing the moment a driver in  Keelung City, in Taiwan narrowly avoided being crushed beneath a huge boulder that tumbled onto a highway during a landslide.

The near calamity was captured by dashboard camera.

In one terrifying moment a landslide smashes onto a busy road and the huge boulder rolls menacingly towards a car that has already been hit by other debris.

The massive boulde stops just short of crushing the vehicle.

There were no reports of injuries following the incident.

Recent heavy rain has triggered a series of mudslides across Taiwan in recent weeks. Elsewhere, 19 people were injured in a train derailment.
