A COUPLE of killer whales gave a swimmer a big shock by stalking him along the coast at Lyall Bay, New Zealand.

Rebecca Parlett, who filmed the video, said the man was unaware he was being followed until her partner and another beach-goer noticed.

They eventually managed to get the swimmer's attention and subsequently ensure he got out the water rather promptly.

The swimmer said he turned around at one point and was close enough to have touched one of the creatures.
