Farmer killed in machinery accident

A farmer is dead after being struck by heavy machinery at a property in Victoria's north.

The man in his 40s was using a post-hole digger at a Raywood farm on Wednesday when an attachment failed, causing the equipment to hit him.

WorkSafe Victoria says it brings the number of workplace deaths in the state to 13 this year, two more than at the same time last year.
