Van fire on the Pacific Highway

MOTORISTS on the Pacific Highway have had a surprise this afternoon after a van caught fire on the road just south of the Mullumbimby exit.

One of The Northern Star's readers sent in these photos of the fire, which fortunately caused no injuries.

It appears to have had little impact on traffic flow, the NSW Traffic Management Centre not registering the incident, which happened about 1.20pm.
