BYRON Bay's Lily Sykes has a goal to fill a shipping container full of medical equipment for Kirakira Hospital in the Solomon Islands.

To raise the funds, she has organised a fundraiser to be held at the Youth Activity Centre on Saturday from 3-8pm.

"Our goal is to raise $7000 so a shipping container filled with medical equipment can get to this hospital in need," Ms Sykes said.

"It is the third largest functional government hospital with 60 beds catering for over 45,000 people," she said.

"The hospital needs urgent upgrading to provide vital equipment for the operating theatre, accident and emergency ward, general wards, surgical wards, outpatient department and the maternity wing.

"It faces a problem of overcrowding and the current water supply is also contaminated."

The fundraiser will feature live music from Kit Bray, Ziggy Alberts and Natalie Welch.

Entry $10 for adults and $5 for children.
