Uncle CEO becomes Aussie citizen

Mark Gasson, CEO of the Uncle Project and captain of the Brunswick Rescue Boat, has become an Australian citizen in Mullumbimby, along with his partner Suzy Donovan.

Mark and Suzy left the UK in 2005 to begin a new life in Australia and settled in Bangalow.

“Much as we both love the UK,” said Mark, “the opportunity of living in Australia was appealing not only because of the outdoor lifestyle and good weather but because it is a much younger country.

“After four years here, we have no intention of permanently returning to live in the UK.

“I believe it’s important to become involved in the community and country that you live in and as we now regard Australia as home, we want to be part of the decision-making process for the future growth of the country.”

Mark would love to hear from anyone interested in joining The Uncle Project or the Brunswick Rescue Boat, and can be contacted on 6680 8582 or 0408 675598.
