U19 Aussies confident of out-batting India

AUSTRALIA is confident it can out-bat India in the final of the Under-19 international quad series at Darwin's Marrara Oval tomorrow.

This is despite the fact the Aussies edged past New Zealand only on run rate percentages for a place in the final, while the Indians are undefeated.

Ben McDermott, son of legendary former fast bowler Craig, and Jake Doran got starts against India on Monday in their team's seven-wicket loss, with both having solid tournaments with the willow.

McDermott got 50 against India in Australia's 47-run loss also to India on July 2.
