Two robbers who allegedly attacked elderly man arrested

TWO accused robbers who allegedly attacked a defenceless old man during his daily walk at North Nowra have been arrested.

A 76-year-old man was left battered and bruised after he was allegedly punched and knocked to the ground at an intersection last week.

A tip-off from the public led police to a home at Shoalhaven where two men, aged 36 and 19, were arrested.

They were charged with aggravating robbery and wounding offences and refused bail.
