Tweed woman, 65, busted for cannabis offences

A TWEED Heads woman, 65, has been charge with possessing and supplying cannabis.

Yesterday afternoon police went to a Florence street house, where they seized cannabis, cash, a set of scales, and a number of small, resealable plastic bags.

Officers arrested a 65-year-old woman at the residence and took her to Tweed Heads Police Station where she was charged with three counts of supplying a prohibited drug, possessing a prohibited drug, and dealing with proceeds of crime.

She has been conditionally bailed to appear in Tweed Heads Local Court on May 19.
