Truck crash on Hume Highway causes 6.5km delay

TRAFFIC is queued for more than six kilometres after a truck crash on the Hume Motorway at Douglas Park this afternoon.

The accident occurred near the Partridge Rest area at about 3.40pm, and heavy tow trucks are working to clear the site.   The truck appears to have left the road and rolled down an embankment.

One of two southbound lanes is closed and motorists are advised to expect delays.

Traffic remains heavy and is queued past Menangle Rd.

The condition of the driver is not yet known.

It is the second bad crash in the area in a week after Karen Bullock and her twin son Hudson died in a horrific crash on the Hume Highway near Pheasants Nest last Tuesday.
