Tributes flow for man killed at Blackwater mine last week

TRIBUTES are flowing for Laurie Donovan, a well-known Rockhampton man who was tragically killed in a Blackwater mining accident.

The Morning Bulletin's Facebook page has been flooded with tributes. Here are some.

Casey Faine: I would like to say on behalf of D crew, that I was lucky enough to work with this great man. To me, Laurie was a man who spoke his mind and was upfront, with no secrets. Everyone loved his wisdom, truthfulness, big heart and soul. It was an absolute pleasure to have met the big man with an even bigger heart. He will never be forgotten.

Kez Ham: My condolences to Laurie's family. Very sad and devastating news. His outgoing personality and humour will never be forgotten. Its been a pleasure to have met and work with you Laurie. You definitely will never be forgotten buddy.
