Treasurer to visit North Coast

FEDERAL Treasurer Wayne Swan will visit Lismore and Grafton on Thursday.

Mr Swan will attend a fundraising lunch in Lismore and a community fundraising dinner in Grafton. 

The ABC reports that Mr Swan is expected to talk about the global financial crisis and the ways he and Prime Minister Kevin Rudd are steering Australia through the downturn.

Proceeds from the events will go to the Clarence Business Enterprise Advisory Service and to a service that supports sufferers of prostate cancer, of which Mr Swan is a survivor.
