BRUNSWICK Heads' big-hearted community is staging a "star-studded" fundraiser on Saturday night to help a girl battling a spinal tumour.
Supported by her mother Carmen and sister Willow, six-year-old Alice Culbert has been undergoing treatment in Brisbane's Royal Children's Hospital since April.
Livin' Next Door to Alice organiser Megan Cornthwaite said the event would raise funds to support the Culberts in their "challenging journey of living away from home, school and work''.
"We're thrilled to announce a star-studded line-up including international award-winning musician Toni Childs, local songstress Ilona Harker, recent Triple J unearthed Splendour in the Grass winner Potato Potato, Three Little Sisters, and local comedian and singer Fiona Crandell."
The fundraiser will also feature dance performances by the Cape Byron Celtic Dancers and The Cassettes as well as storytelling, door prizes, a silent auction, and a light supper followed by "adult comedy".
"The evening will celebrate and support Alice and her family while Alice undergoes full-time treatment until December," Megan said.
The event begins at 7pm at the Brunswick Heads Bowling Club with $20 tickets available at the door. To donate door prizes or silent auction items, contact Megan on 0478 740 057.
