ANNETTE Sym's top tips:
BREAKFAST: Always have breakfast. If you don't like eating first thing then start with a small glass of fresh fruit juice. Then slowly add a piece of toast until your body gets used to having food in the morning.
If time is the problem then grab a piece of fruit to eat in the car or bus.
Having breakfast means you may avoid eating the wrong food mid morning.
FORGET DIETING: I believe dieting only makes you fat so give up dieting and embrace being a healthy person.
Instead think of your weight loss journey as that…a journey, one that you can sustain for the rest of your life.
If you have a sweet tooth then work out how you can have some cakes and desserts but have healthy options.
If you like a wine then structure in the occasional drink, this way you won't feel deprived and can stick at it longer.
LIFESTYLE CHANGES: What areas do you think need improving or changed?
If you don't make any changes then nothing will change so be prepared to make some changes and look at the habits that have caused you to be unhealthy in the first place.
Be honest with yourself with what needs to go.
YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT: Look at how much you are eating, what food choices you are making and aim to avoid as much processed food as possible.
I recommend you have around 40% raw in your day. Have lots of colour on your plate and cook as many of my recipes as you can.
MOTIVATION: Look at ways to keep motivated so you reach your goal weight.
It's really important when losing weight to be excited about your journey and having a positive attitude that encourages empowering self talk and to have strong commitment.
Visualise how you will look at your goal weight, see the sparkle in your eyes and how proud you are of your success.
Believe it, become it.
MINDSET: If you want to lose weight, feel fit and healthy then you need to think and act like a healthy person, mirror what they do and before you know it you will become one.
Stop having excuses as to why you can't lose weight or don't have time to go for a walk.
Make YOU your top priority and BE THE PERSON YOU WANT TO BE.

Egg and Bacon Capsicum Cups
RECIPE FROM SYMPLY TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE BOOK
- baking paper
- 1 large red capsicum
- 4 small slices (65g) short cut bacon fat trimmed
- 2 eggs
- 2 tomatoes cut in half (optional)
Step 1: Cut a sheet of baking paper large enough to be doubled, which will fit your frypan.
Step 2: Cut two ring slices of capsicum about 2cm thick (middle part of capsicum). Remove white flesh and seeds to create a round shape.
Step 3: Heat a non-stick frypan that has a lid at medium temperature (too hot and the bacon will burn). Place capsicum rings into pan and cook for 3-5 minutes or until browned on one side only. Remove from pan.
Step 4: Place baking paper on base of pan then put uncooked side of capsicum onto paper. Press 2 slices of bacon into each capsicum cup, going up the sides so there aren't any gaps for egg to escape.
Step 5: Carefully crack an egg into centre of each cup. Place tomato in frypan, then cover with lid and cook for 5 minutes or until eggs are cooked to your liking.
Step 6: Carefully lift eggs and tomatoes off paper using a flat spatula.
Not suitable to be frozen.
DIETITIAN'S TIP: Red capsicums are high in vitamin C, an antioxidant protecting healthy cells from toxins that contribute to cancer.
