Top gongs and parliamentary hat-tip for Maclean supermarket

THEIR musical repertoire might be slightly outdated, but SPAR Maclean owners Bob and Judith Little are obviously doing something right.

The long-time supermarket proprietors have been honoured in New South Wales Parliament after winning a raft of awards for good service.

Clarence MP Chris Gulaptis told parliament his local grocers had won the national SPAR store of the year award for the second year running, along with gongs for delicatessen and produce department of the year.

"For 36 years, Bob and Judith Little and their dedicated team have put their hearts and souls into making sure their customers are receiving high quality products, value for money and exemplary customer service," Mr Gulaptis said.

"The staff always greet you with a smile and are genuinely happy to see you and make your shopping experience a pleasant one.

"More often than not, you can hear Bob singing or whistling to the same old tune that was playing some 36 years ago, or having a chat or a laugh with one of his loyal customers." -ARM NEWSDESK
