Bernard Tomic happy after repeat of Colombia win

BENARD Tomic says he can finish the year ranked inside the world's top 15 after beating Frenchman Adrian Mannarino 6-1 3-6 6-2 to successfully defend his Claro Open crown in Colombia.

The 22-year-old pocketed almost $A90,000, saying he was "really happy" with the way he has played this year.

"I started at No.70 and am now close to No. 20. It's been a good seven months," Tomic (pictured) said.

The victory saw the Gold Coaster join Milos Raonic and Grigor Dimitrov as the only players born in the 1990s to win at least three ATP Tour titles.

Meanwhile, Sam Stosur made it another good weekend for Australian tennis, coming from a set down to beat Italy's Karin Knapp 3-6 7-6 6-2 in the final of the Bad Gastein Open in Austria.

The victory gave Stosur her eighth WTA Tour title, and her second for 2015 after a win in Strasbourg.
