Gold Coast Titans put strong side on the park

INTERNATIONAL forwards Nate Myles and Greg Bird will have their first hitouts of 2015 in the Gold Coast Titans final trial against the Cowboys in Cairns on Saturday night.

In a near full-strength side, newcomer Eddy Pettybourne will start from the bench and playmaker Aidan Sezer returns after suffering a cheekbone injury in the Auckland Nines.

Coach Neil Henry said Beau Falloon (hamstring), Mark Ioane (knee) and David Hala (ill) would be the only absentees in the trial, which would give players their last chance to impress before the opening round clash against Wests Tigers on March 7.

"There are certainly spots in the team which are still up for grabs, particularly in the three-quarters, and up front," Henry said.
