Tigers midfielder looking for move

CARLTON is likely to be at the head of the queue to secure the signature of disgruntled Richmond midfielder Dustin Martin.

With Blues coach Mick Malthouse having said his team was desperately short of quality midfielders, yesterday's announcement that Martin had decided to "pursue offers from other clubs" after months of fruitless negotiations with Richmond would have been music to the veteran mentor's ears.

GWS, which tried to secure Martin in 2011, would also no doubt be interested.

Tigers football manager Dan Richardson said he was "extremely disappointed" with Martin's decision.
