There's something fishy going on at Wategos Beach

IF you've noticed surfers emerging from the water at Wategos looking a bit flustered of late, this little fella might have something to do with it.

We're not sure what breed of shark it is, but fishers have recently reported seeing bronze whalers around The Pass at a time of increased shark activity because of the presence of seasonal bait fish along with tuna and mackerel.

This picture, taken at Wategos, was sent in by Ayn Mielke of Dragonfly Photography. Ayn said the shark had been hanging around the popular break for a few weeks.
