Mother of crash victim raises money for funeral
THE mother of a 14-year-old boy killed in a New South Wales car crash is trying to raise money for his funeral.
Jackie Omalveney died when the car he was in crashed near Mudgee late on Friday.
It is alleged the 16-year-old driver did not have a licence and might have swerved the Ford Festiva to avoid hitting a wombat.
The driver was in a critical condition yesterday. Jackie's mother set up a GoFundMe page "to help raise money to bury my ...son."
The page had raised about $3600 yesterday afternoon, surpassing the $2500 target.
