THE Living End has been announced as the headline act for Wakesessions Australia.

The event will take place from November 15-17 at the GoWake Cable Park at Andergrove Lakes, Mackay.

It will be the fifth stop on the Wake Park World Series (WPWS) tour, which includes in the USA, United Arab Emirates, Thailand and the Philippines.

Wakesessions Australia will also feature a major music event on Saturday, November 16, with The Living End joined by PEZ, Loon Lake, Dune Rats and Ashleigh Cordingley.

These major artists will be supported by local and national bands and DJs playing throughout the event on the Friday and Sunday.

These include Alison Wonderland, Asta, Touch Sensitive, Remi, Grey Ghost, Scowny XEdge, The Miller Brothers and Lloyd Saunders.

4 Eva Young Entertainment director Adrian Young said The Living End was the biggest band he'd secured for Mackay.

"Apart from AC/DC, the Living End are the biggest Australian band of the last 20 years still performing together, so I am very excited to be announcing the band as part of the Wakesessions Festival."

The event will feature international, national and local riders. For more information visit:
