Teenage girl told: You're too big to shop in this store

A TEENAGE girls is making worldwide headlines today after being asked to leave a US store because she was "too big".

TV station KEZI 9 News broke the story on the girl, who went to the store to spend her birthday money, only to be asked to leave.

Shelby Buster told the channel she went shopping at Rue 21 to buy some perfume.

"I walked in and the lady at the front counter said hey you're too big to be in this store, I need you to leave," she said.

Miss Buster's mother complained to the store and received an apology.

The district manager of Rue 21 said the company was investigating the incident.
