Teen charged with gunpoint robbery at service station

A TEENAGER from Casino has been charged over the gunpoint robbery of three people at a Lismore service station at the weekend.

Police allege the 18-year-old man entered the United service station on Ballina Rd at about 8.50pm and while armed with gun he demanded cash, pointing the gun at the service station's attendant, manager and a customer.

Police have said the man fled the scene in a car driven by another man.

The man was arrested late yesterday at a Casino address.

He was charged with armed robbery and granted conditional bail.

Investigations into the armed robbery are ongoing and anyone with any information that may assist police is asked to call Lismore Police on 6626 0599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
