KIDS keep losing their phones?

This company may have the solution, Alcatel has just unveiled its new range of smartphones and the base model may just prove to be the cheapest smart phone on te market.

The Alcatel U5 is described by the company as "the most affordable five-inch 4G smartphone."

And while the specs on the phone are dwarfed by its competitors the Alcatel laps them on price.

The phone runs its own android operating system which the creators have called 6.0 Marshmallow and the phone has 8Gb of memory.

It also has hands-free, a microhpone, a screen capture function and two cameras - two megapixels on the front and five megapixels on the back.

By way of comparison the Apple iPhone 7 has 12 and seven megapixel cameras and a mininum of 32GB of memory.

But of course the iPhone also costs more than $900 - or six times as much as the Alcatel.
