Tea up your friends for cancer

The invitation is going out there to ‘tea up’ friends and workmates to join Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, to help tip the balance in the fight against cancer.

The Brunswick Valley Cancer Action Group will hold their Biggest Morning Tea on Friday May 21 at the Uniting Church Hall in Mullumbimby, and the theme this year is ‘Healthy Hints’.

The morning promises to be one full of fun and entertainment as well as great tea and cake, with lucky door prizes, raffles and a bring and buy table.

Two great competitions encourage the creative out there to get busy on ideas for ‘The best Carmen Miranda fruit hat’ and ‘The most creative seed jewellery.’

All money raised will go towards helping to fund the Cancer Council’s research, prevention, education and support services that will assist the one in two Australians who will be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85.

The Biggest Morning Tea is from 9.30am onwards, and entry fee is $5.
