Tassie couple ties the knot live in tropical Qld TV wedding

HAMILTON Island's Catseye Beach served as the picture-perfect backdrop for Brett Fowler and Tenae House's wedding on Sunrise this morning.

The young couple, from Smithton, Tasmania, won the brekkie TV show's "Hitched on Hamilton" competition to get married on the luxurious tropical island in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef.

The catch? They had to exchange vows on live TV and in front of 150 viewers flown to Hamilton for the event.

The 22-year-old bride looked stunning in a cream Anna Campbell gown with silver embroidery and jewels.

"I can't promise you things are always going to be easy….but what I can promise you is that I will never stop trying in this relationship," House said in her vows.

"I'm so happy that today I can finally call you my husband."

Former Perfect Match host Greg Evan was the celebrant in the touching ceremony.

Tenae's step-mum saw the competition and told her about it.

The couple spent a week making their winning competition entry, which has now been viewed more than 20,000 times on YouTube.

Sunrise co-hosts David Koch and Samantha Armytage witnessed the signing of the registry.

Californian pop duo MKTO provided the music for the celebrations, performing their song Classic for the bride and groom's first dance.

The newlyweds drove off on a golf buggy as the guests showered them with flower petals.
