Tallowood court hearing waits

It could be at least another month before the Tallowood Ridge, Mullumbimby, case returns to the NSW Land and Environment Court.

The hearing was only expected to take four days, but it moved from the Byron Bay Courthouse to Ballina for a fifth session last Friday.

However, it still did not finish.

Several experts, including town planners, have not yet given evidence.

It is understood representatives from Byron Shire Council and land developers Bayview Land Development are now working out suitable dates for the case to return to court, which might not be for another four to six weeks.
