Take your best voices to carols

Locals and visitors are asked to bring along their best voices to tomorrow evening’s Carols by the Sea at Byron Bay’s Main Beach.

And to get into the Christmas spirit, organisers are also inviting everyone to bring blankets, chairs and picnic baskets to help make it a real family affair.

The fun kicks off around 4pm with Santa arriving on a motorbike and he will be ready to have his photo taken with all the kids.

The music starts at 7pm and as well as traditional Christmas carols, there will be gospel, blues and tribal drumming.

Performers include gospel rock artist Rosanna Palmer of Rosanna’s Raiders, the family trio One Accord, the Headliner Chorus and Russ Walker, brother of Australian Idol, Stan Walker.

In the event of heavy rain, the event will be staged in the Byron Bay High School auditorium.
