A COURT battle is brewing between former swimming champion Tracey Wickham and the Regatta Hotel in Toowong.
The 50-year-old Olympic athlete has lodged documents with the Supreme Court outlining her intention to claim compensation for injuries sustained in a fall at the pub during a rainy day in June 2010.
According to the documents, Ms Wickham had been lunching with friends when she slipped and fell, and as taken to hospital in an ambulance with "back, coccyx and psychological trauma".
She had one beer stubby and sips from another before the fall. Ms Wickham was also on medication for epilepsy and opiate dependency.
The files, which name Liquorland and Hedley Leisure and Gaming Property Services as respondents, were lodged on June 24.
