AFTER seeing a photo of herself and realising the once athletic and disciplined person had spiralled out of control, Suzanne Brumby decided she needed to do something about.
Now more than 45 kilos lighter, Ms Brumby is the image of health after joining Weight Watchers early last year.
The 37-year-old has undergone a complete lifestyle transformation, shedding 37.2 per cent of her body weight.
She now competes in charity runs and half-marathons.
"I was just sick of feeling unhealthy and out of breath all the time," she said.
"I wanted to lose weight but I'm really against fad diets or anything that cuts out a food group."
It took her roughly 15 months to get to below her goal weight of 81 kilos.
"The only way to feel slim and healthy is to be slim and healthy," Ms Brumby said.
"I exercise diligently and incorporate it into my daily life so it's not a chore, like riding my bike to uni."
Her amazing success story was noticed by Weight Watchers who selected her as one of five state semi-finalists for the 2012 Weight Watchers Healthy Life Awards.
Ms Brumby and all short-listed entries to the awards will soon take part in interviews before a finalist for each state is selected.
