SHE may have resigned as Health Minister but Sussan Ley has continued on as the Federal Member for Farrer - a message the embattled MP is clearly keen to put across.
Ms Ley quietly made a return to social media yesterday.
The Facebook and Twitter accounts of the once prolific poster had become digital ghost towns in recent weeks as scandal engulfed Ms Ley - with story, after story emerging about her expenses claims.
However on Wednesday Ms Ley took to Facebook to break the silence and the public response was not entirely what was to be expected - there were in fact several messages of support.
"I'm so sorry to see you go Susan you were a great Health Minister, the best of luck to you," Russell Sinclair posted after Ms Ley put a link to the Government's Building Better Region's Fund.
"Devastated to see you go, Sussan. Thank you for your legacy of a solid foundation for Greg Hunt to build upon. I'm surprised at Malcolm - Tony would've given you more consideration!" Hermoine Lynn wrote.
However others were not so favourable.
"Disappointingly, we now see that nearly all politicians have 'their snouts in the trough'. But we have been naive and most Australians don't care," Geoffrey Victor posted.
"Can we apply for funding to buy an apartment? When are you going to step down from the seat of Farrer," Tim Keown wrote before making other remarks which can't be republished due to legal concerns.
"I'm so disappointed that the report into your travel claims wont be released. Malcolm must be looking after you," Edward-Keg Paroz wrote.
While Ms Ley has stepped down from her role as Health Minister for which she was taking home a salary of $343,344 a year.
Now as an MP she will be paid $199,040 - plus expenses.
