Students in surf titles

Byron Bay High School has a representation of three students surfing in the State titles at Werri Beach on the South Coast today.

Kirsten Ogden, Henry Phillips and Tommy Boucout have all made it through the regional titles held recently at Kingscliff Beach to represent the North Coast.

Tommy Boucart finished third in the under 16 boys and will represent the school.

Henry Phillips had a great day and was in the water for most of it.

He surfed in five heats and finished the day with a fourth place in the under 19 boys final.

At only 15 he is certainly making waves.

In the girls divisions Lana Parker teamed up with Kirsten Ogden in the under 19 girls team.

The girls shredded some quality right-handers and scored a second place for their efforts.

Kirsten also surfed in the under 16 girls division and surfed through heats, semis and another final to win.

Kirsten is another young surfer who is at the top of the junior ranks within Australia.
