Titans to take on Roosters

THE Gold Coast Titans yesterday completed their final training session and will line-up at full strength against the Sydney Roosters in tonight's NRL preliminary final at Suncorp Stadium.

Titans' coach John Cartwright said his team was set to take the field as per program with veteran backs Preston Campbell and Mat Rogers fit to play.

The experienced duo will line up alongside two of the Tweed's finest in Murwillumbah enforcer Anthony Laffranchi and Banora Point livewire Luke O'Dwyer (left).

Campbell returns at fullback after missing the Titans' playoff victory against the New Zealand Warriors a fortnight ago while Rogers has overcome a lingering hip problem.

Cartwright said the week off had been important to refresh the players' minds as well as their bodies.

Titans' halfback Scott Prince said the youthful Roosters' finals run, featuring victories over Wests Tigers and the Penrith Panthers, had reminded him of the success he had with the Tigers in 2005.

But Prince believed Gold Coast's superior experience will serve them well in their bid to qualify for the club's first grand final.
