Splendour punter stable after falling from tree

UPDATE SUNDAY: A MALE festival-goer at Splendour in the Grass is in a stable condition in the Gold Coast Hospital after falling at the festival on Friday.

Inspector Mick Dempsey of Tweed Byron Local Area Command said the man had suffered non-life threatening injuries after falling from a tree.

 

INITIAL REPORT: NSW Police has confirmed a Splendour punter was taken to Gold Coast hospital yesterday.

A spokesperson from the Police confirmed that the person was transported by ambulance after falling off stairs at the festival.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter service was called to the festival venue but it was decided that weather conditions were not safe for flying last night.
