Splendour in the Grass line-up announced

THE LINE-UP *** TICKET COSTS

MUMFORD and Sons, The National, and TV on the Radio will give their only Australian performances at the Splendour in the Grass festival's first outing at its Yelgun site.

The line-up includes nearly 80 bands and DJs, including the winners of this year's Triple J Unearthed competition.

Pre-sale tickets are available to members from 9am tomorrow with details of the general release for tickets going on sale at 9am, Thursday, May 2, through Moshtix.

The festival will be held on July Friday 26, Saturday 27 and Sunday 28, and will be the first event to be held at the new and  permanent home at the North Byron Parklands.

The site is located 20 minutes north of Byron Bay, and contains what the organisers describe as "660 acres of rolling green hills, beautiful native forest and water lily covered dams".

Splendour In The Grass organisers secured use of North Byron Parklands for the festival back in April last year, after  gaining approval from the NSW Planning and Assessment Commission for some "test events" after years of lobbying.

"It has been a long journey to get to this point," co-producers Jessica Ducrou and Paul Piticco said.

"Seven years after we first found this idyllic piece of land, we're so excited to finally move Splendour to its permanent home at North Byron Parklands," she said.
